Paragraph -- A School Library
Paragraph -- A School Library
The library which is specially meant for the students of a school is called a school library. It is a part and parcel of a school. It is usually a spacious room having a good number of books on literature, history, geography, science, arts, commerce etc. and also a number of newspapers, magazines and journals. Like many other institutions, we have a big library in our school. It is situated on the upstairs of our school building. It is a big library with a well furnished reading room. The books are kept in 25 almirahs according to the categories of classes and alphabetical order. At present it has as many as ten thousand books on various subjects. Students and teachers come to the library for reading books as their choice. It remains open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on every working day. There is a trained and qualified librarian who is in charge of the library. He helps the students to select good books and maintains the discipline within the library. A library is really a storehouse of knowledge. It is the fountain head from where stream of knowledge flows. I am really proud of my school library. It meets the need of the students. Poor students who can not afford to buy their books can receive or borrow them from the library. Every student should come to the library in order to satisfy their thirst for knowledge.
