CIRCUMCISION- PREVENTS CANCER

Circumcision, a healthy, religious surgery. It prevents cancer of penis in male as well as cancer of cervix in female partner.


Circumcision
It is a surgery where foreskin of penis which covers front of penis called glans-penis is excised. This surgery is done for religious cause and other medical causes.


Is circumcision necessary ?
Muslims and Jews do religious circumcision. But there are some medical causes for doing circumcision.
1. Phimosis (In-ability to open the glans penis due to tight foreskin).
2. Paraphimosis ( In-ability to return foreskin to its original location).
3. Infection ( Discharge of pus or Urinary Tract Infection).
4. Prevention of penis cancer.
5. Prevention of cervical cancer in women who have husband with circumcision.
6. Personal preference (any man with any religion can do circumcision for healthy practice )


When circumcision is done ?
Circumcision can be done on first or second day after birth. In Pakistan usually it is done in 7th day after birth. In Bangladesh there is no age limit to do circumcision. Usually in Bangladesh it is done at the age of 5 years to 8 years. But surgeons can do the surgery at any age even in adult specially who change their religion and want to do circumcision.
